What Are Avastars?

The Avastars NFT collection is a set of unique avatars that you can buy, sell or trade with other people.

The whole idea is tied together by a sci-fi concept.

It follows the Avastars Corp, an organization tasked with the mission of finding a suitable planet to live on.

As of today, the project broke record sales for an NFT market and was able to sell all the artwork released within just 13 months.

What Makes An Unique Avastar? Let’s talk about mechanics!

Like many other projects, each Avastar has a trait to distinguish one another.

However, there are many things to consider.

With over 600 unique drawings, there are endless combinations for the series.

Here are all the mechanics you need to understand before you buy an Avastar.

Avastars Genes

Avastars contain twelve layers of art from 614 composable traits.

Each piece of all the artwork that composes an Avastar is called a gene.

These are the genes categories:

• Hair style
• Hair color
• Skin tone
• Eye color
• Background color
• Ears
• Face
• Nose
• Facial Feature
• Mouth
• Eyes
• Backdrop

At the same time, each gene has a unique trait.

Avastars Traits. From Uncommon Traits to Legendary Traits.

Each gene has variations, these variations are called traits.

Some genes have more traits than others.

And there are different rarity levels for the traits, those are:

• Common
• Uncommon
• Rare
• Epic
• Legendary

Traits can be anything from bright pink eyes, zombie skin, or a unique skin tone.

As with every collectible, the more common traits an Avastar has the less valuable it is.

Each Avastar has a rarity score based on the “uniqueness” of each of its traits.

The lowest possible score is 1, and the highest score is 100.

The rarity rank to determine the value of an Avastar follows the same naming convention as the trait naming convention, meaning: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary.

What was rare in one generation may turn epic or common in the final distribution.

So try to have as many trait copies as possible.

Primes vs Replicants

Each Avastars generation has 5000 members, and there are five generations per release.

These are called Prime Avastars and are capped at 25,000 members.

After the last series is capped, anyone owning 2 or more unique Avatar primes can create a Replicant.

A Replicant can inherit certain traits from a Prime.

You can do it by using Avastars Replicants Token or ART for short.

However, the tokens can only be used by prime holders.

There can only be as many replicants as there are Avastar primes per generation.

Since Replicants can inherit Avastar traits from any rarity, it’s easier to get Replicants with higher value.

Founders

Founders are exclusive Avastars numbered from 0 to 99.

They were sold during the initial phase only.

Founders can also create Replicants, meaning that there are an additional 100 extra Avastars out there.

Founders are special gifts given to a few people.

They break all the rules and, for example, the numbers 0 and 1 have almost all a perfect rarity rank.

One of the Avastar of the above example was sold for $9,000.

However, the price has only gone up since then.
